Gallblader cancer - less frequently. When gallbladder cancer is discovered in its early stages, the chances for treatment are very good. But most cancers are discovered gall bladder in an advanced stage.

Gallblader cancer - Signs, symptoms and causes

- Gallbladder cancer may include the following symptoms:

Abdominal pain, especially in the upper right abdomen

abdominal Bloating

itch

fever

Loss of appetite

Losing weight without any reason

nausea

Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)


Gallblader cancer - Treatment

The choice of treatment of bladder cancer depends on the stage of the cancer, the overall health status. The initial goal of treatment is to remove the gall bladder cancer, but when this is not possible, other therapies may help control the spread of disease, such as:

Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is a treatment that uses chemicals to kill cancer cells.

Radiotherapy. Using powerful radiation of energy beams such as X-rays, to kill cancer cells.

Procedures to decrease the blocked bile ducts. Advanced gallbladder cancer can cause blockages in the bile ducts, causing further complications. Procedures to relieve the blockage may help. For example, doctors may place a hollow metal tube (stent) into a duct to hold it open or surgically reroute bile ducts around the blockage (biliary bypass).
