- Rhinoplasty can be performed aesthetic or reconstructive purposes to correct trauma, birth defects or breathing problems.

Rhinoplasty can be performed under general anesthesia, sedation, or local anesthetic. Initially, local anesthesia, which is a mixture of lidocaine and epinephrine is injected to numb the area and temporarily reduce vascularity. There are two possible approaches to the nose: closed approach and open approach. In closed rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside the nostrils. In open rhinoplasty, make a small incision in the skin that separates the nostrils band. When the operation is ready to be applied a splint that will maintain the new shape of the nose.


Nose Reshaping - Treatment

Most patients can return to the most sedentary activities a week after surgery. Still to resume normal pace it takes several weeks.
